DISRUPTION TO LIBRARY SERVICES DUE TO REGISTRATION
The Barrow Centre, which usually hosts the registration of students, is
unavailable due to construction work. As a consequence, it has been necessary
for student registration to take place in the library instead. This will
result in some disruption to library services at the start of the new academic
year. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

LEXIS NEXIS LEGAL UPDATE
Irish Annotated Statutes -- Casebook on Equity and Trusts (Ireland) --
Co-ownership of Land Partition Actions and Remedies (Ireland) Intangible
Property Rights in Ireland -- Irish Conveyancing Law -- Irish Land Law --
Irish Law of Specific Performance -- Irish Stamp Duty Law -- Landlord and
Tenant Law (Ireland) -- Irish Conveyancing Precedents.
The All-England Law Reports are now available in easy-to-read PDF format. This
covers the entire All England series to date approximately 27,000
cases.
A number of the case reports now have a Find related journals
link at the top right of a case document in the Find out more
box. This useful feature will generate a search across journal content looking
for any mention of that particular case, providing an easy means to read
around how a particular case has been discussed in the legal media. Journals
can indicate the potential impact of a case or how in fact a case changed the
face of UK law so it is an invaluable resource if you need to do some wider
research around a case.

SAGE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FAMILY HEALTH ONLINE
The Encyclopedia of Family Health provides a comprehensive summary of theory,
research, practice, and policy on family health and wellness promotion for
students and researchers. What is unique about the process in the discussion
of healthcare and interventions to use when working with families? What
assessment tools provide guidance for healthcare providers as they determine
interventions for families in their care? What are the changing dimensions of
contemporary family life, and what impact do those dimensions have on health
promotion for families? How is family healthcare changing in terms of
practices, delivery systems, costs and insurance coverage? Students are able
to explore these questions and more in entries written by experts from all
relevant fields. Entries examine theory, research and policy as they relate to
family practice in a manner that is accessible and jargon-free. From
'Adolescent Suicide' and 'Alternative Therapies' to 'Visitation during
Hospitalisation' and 'Weight Problems and Genetics', this work provides
coverage of a variety of issues within a family context. IT Carlow patrons now
have access to the e-book version which is fully searchable and can be
accessed both on and off-campus. Connect to the Encyclopedia of Family Health
