This release now provides 4,241 titles, equaling approximately 1270 hours.
Emerald Journals - Full text access to 175 journals. Subjects include Business, Engineering, Marketing, Management, Quality, Human Resources, Education & Training etc. The coverage of 125 Emerald journals within the IT Carlow subscription has been expanded to include all backfiles. Searches within Emerald automatically include these journals, the recently-added Engineering e-journal collection and any Emerald e-books which we have access to.

Millions of full-text articles, many with images. Updated daily. Most articles can also be downloaded as MP3 files. For 2009, our subscription includes complimentary access to an additional database, Academic Onefile.
Ingentaconnect - Ingentaconnect offers searchable access to over 4.5 million articles from 13,500+ electronic publications. IT Carlow patrons can search this resource. However, full text access is only available for around 21 subscribed titles which include Design and Culture, The Design Journal, Enterprise Development & Microfinance, Nematology.
Ireland Collection - The Ireland Collection, developed in cooperation with Queen's University Belfast, is an interdisciplinary collection of journals and other materials. It contains over 75 journals, 200 monographs and 2,500 manuscript pages. There is a strong emphasis on Irish history and archaeology, but also covers art, folklore, literature, mathematics, and biology. Materials span from the 1780s to the present. The Ireland Collection was created with funding from the JISC Digitisation Programme and is being made freely available to publicly-funded institutions in Ireland. The Ireland Collection is included as part of JSTOR database (see below).
isurv - isurv is designed to specifically meet the information needs of surveyors, the surveying profession and the surveying industry. It is a one-stop-shop for best practice and the easiest way to access RICS official guidance online. It contains extensive expert practical commentary, legislative guidance, thousands of relevant case summaries and hundreds of ready to use standard letters and forms. Regularly updated, the information is the most current that is available from the RICS and contains the latest editions of all relevant RICS guidance notes. USERNAME AND PASSWORD REQUIRED.
Journals @ Ovid - A service from Ovid which provides an aggregate of hundreds of scientific, technical, and medical journals from over 50 publishers and societies. While all titles are searchable, full-text access is restricted to those Sports Medicine titles for which IT Carlow holds a subscription: American Journal of Sports Medicine, Exercise & Sports Science Reviews, Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research, Medicine & Science in Sports and Exercise, Strength and Conditioning Journal. In addition, the database contains links to freely available full-text articles.
JSTOR - JSTOR is an archive of academic journal back issues. Journals are always included from volume 1, issue 1 and include previous and related titles. However, the most recently published issues (past 3-5 years) are not available, but users can search this recent material and link to the full text (depending on subscription status). IT Carlow subscribes to Arts & Sciences IV module which has a strong focus on the professions of business, education, and law, and also includes titles in psychology and public policy and administration. There are 112 titles in this collection. An A-Z of these titles is available here. IT Carlow also subscribes to Arts & Sciences VIII module which has a strong focus on art & art history, classical studies, philosophy, language & literature, and music. Justis - Justis provides access to The Irish Reports and Irish Digests, published by The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for Ireland. This gives coverage of over 170 years of Irish case reports and contains the full text data of published cases from 1838 to the present day. The data is updated every 3 months. The Irish Reports is the most comprehensive series of case reports covering decisions of major importance of the superior courts of Ireland. The reports are compiled by practising barristers and are cited authoritatively in Irish courts and tribunals. Each report includes a headnote which summarises the judgements. Irish Digests provides a summary for each case reported in: The Irish Reports (1917 - 1999), Irish Jurist Reports (1932 - 1965), Irish Law Journal (1931 - 1934) Irish Law Reports Monthly (1976 2000), Irish Law Times Reports (53 - 114), Northern Ireland Reports (1925 - 1999) Irish Special Reports (1980 - 1998).

Masters of Architecture - Masters of Architecture is a database of approx. 7000 digitised slides in jpg format which illustrates some of the works of famous architects. It is searchable by name or by building type or by keyword. The images may be downloaded for academic use.

The current selection of over 240 titles includes Social Care, Construction, Design, Early Childhood, Facilities Management, Statistics, Business & Accounting, AutoCAD and Electronics. Nevertheless, this is a useful resource for identifying material that may be of interest and from time to time SAGE makes some titles temporarily free to access. All issues of The American Journal of Sports Medicine are available to IT Carlow patrons on this platform.

Teachers TV - A collection of instructional videos showing actual classroom footage. The Teachers TV content covers every possible subject area Bullying, Behaviour Management, ADHD in the classroom, Early Language, Secondary Maths, Art Workshop, Guided Reading, Primary Science, Dealing with Family Breakdown and more. Alexander Street Press has licensed this material and is pleased to make it available FREE to all libraries in the UK and Ireland.
Web of Science - Provides multidisciplinary literature coverage including cited references in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. Search backward and forward in time with cited reference searching, analyze results, search over 100 years of back files, and link to the full text (subject to subscription status). In addition, the CrossSearch facility allows the extension of a search to multiple freely-available databases.
Westlaw - Westlaw IE is the most comprehensive and authoritative Irish online legal research service. It provides online access to an extensive collection of legal content including : a collection of case law including renowned reporting series such as ILRM and ILTR giving full text law reports dating back to 1867, consolidated legislation, annotated legislation, a unique collection of journals, relevant news and business information, and a current awareness service updated once a day.
Westlaw UK - Westlaw UK complements our existing subscription to WestlawIE and provides IT Carlow patrons with access to UK law journals and legal information.
Wiley Online Library - Wiley Online Library hosts a broad multidisciplinary collection of online resources covering life, health and physical sciences, social science, and the humanities. While IT Carlow patrons can search over 4 million articles from 1500 journals, full text access is only available for around 25 subscribed or free titles which include Child Development, European Law Journal and a selection of business and science journals.
