Books

The library’s overall book stock exceeds 40,000 volumes.  Books are shelved in subject order according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system.  Each book in the Library is assigned a Dewey shelf number that appears on the spine of the book.  As Dewey is a numerical system, the books are arranged on the shelves in strict numerical order.  Books on the same subject are given the same shelf number.
